Kartari means scissors, and papa means sin. This is also called hemmed in.This group of yogas is caused by planets being placed around a certain house and/or planet. The most generally occurring scissors yoga is when two benefics or malefics enclose a planet or a house. The malefic planets are Saturn, Mars, Rahu, Ketu and Sun.The benefic planets are Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury.

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF KARTARI YOGAS :

1) PAAP KARTARI YOGA : It occurs when malefics enclose a planet or a house.

For example :
a) Venus is in Taurus, Saturn (a malefic) in Aries and Mars (a malefic) in Gemini. Two malefics enclose Venus. Therefore, Venus will not be able to function optimally.

b) Mars is in the fourth house, the fifth house is empty and Saturn is in the sixth house. This can have awkward consequences for the children, because two malefics enclose the fifth house. In this case, the fifth house encounters a papa kartari yoga.

2) SHUBH KARTARI YOGA : It occurs when benefics enclose of a planet or a house .

For example :
a) If Venus is in Taurus, Jupiter (a benefic) in Aries, and the Moon (a benefic) in Gemini, then Venus will function exceptionally well. This is shubha kartari yoga.

b) Venus is in the fourth house and Jupiter in the sixth house, everything pertaining to the fifth house will be beneficially influenced. In this situation, the fifth house is strengthened by the occurrence of a shubka kartari yoga.

NAVMASA KUNDALI

Navmasa Kundali or Navmasa Chart or Navmasa Chakram refers to the 9th divisional chart . Navmasa Kundali is considered as back bone of Lagan kundali . It is also known as Dharmasa Kundali because in Lagan kundali the 9th house is considered as house of spirituality ( Dharma ) & since the Navmasa Kundali is the 9th divisional chart it is also called as Dharmasa. To judge the planetary strength of a person's kundali it is very important to study both the Lagan Kundali & Navmasa Kundali . If a Lagan Kundali is strong but the Navmasa kundali is weak than the Lagan kundali will not live up .

It is very simple to construct kundali with the help of computer however construction of Navmasa Kundali manually is a complicated task & need lot of mathematical calculations . Below I have discussed the procedure of construction of Navmasa Kundali manually .

A) FINDING THE ASCENDANT OF NAVMASA KUNDALI :

Ascendant means the Rashi of the first house . The ascendant of Navmasa Kundali may or may not be same as that of Lagan Kundali . To find out the Ascendant of Navmasa Kundali you need to divide each Rashi into 9 divisions & each rashi is of 30 * . The whole Zodiac is of 360* & there are 12 Rashis ( signs ) therefore 108 divisions each of 3.33 * . However some astrologers take it as 3.20* but my exprience say 3.33 * is much accurate . Below I have divided each Rashi into 9 equal divisions & than each division of 3.33 * coresponds to a Rashi (sign) . For example the first 0.00 to 3.33* divsion of Aries sign coresponds to Areis sign then the second division which is from 3.33 * to 6.66 * coresponds to Taurus sign .

After converting each Rashi into its corresponding Navmasa Rashi match the Lagan Rashi & its Ansh with the Navmasa Rashi . For example mine own Lagan Rashi is Gemini & its Ansh is 12 :04:10 therefore it corresponds to { 22) 9.99… .13.32 Capricorn } SEE THE ABOVE DIVISION OF SIGN CHART & since Capricorn is 10th Sign in the Zodiac, mine Navmasa Ascendant is Capricorn . Thus the Sign of first House of Navmasa Chart is Capricorn in my case . On the basis of Navmasa Ascendant sign rest of the signs are placed accordingly in the houses .

PLACEMENT OF PLANETS IN NAVMASA KUNDALI :

Find the Longitude of each planet placed in Lagan Kundali . Longitude of Planet in a Zodiac is found by using my formula which is as follows ,

Longitude of Planet in Specific Sign + ( 30 X N0-of signs before the sign in which Planet is placed )

For example Moon is in Leo Sign in my Lagan Kundali at 24 * .Therefore the longitude of Moon in Zodiac is 24+ 30X 4 ( since Leo is 5th sign ) = 144 *

After finding the longitude of Planet in the zodiac divide by 3.33 & the resulting quotient will tell you in which sign the planet will be placed in Navmasa Kundali .

Foe example the longitude of Moon is 144 * in mine kundali after dividing it by 3.33 the quotient is 43.24 . Consider as whole number so 43.24 is considered as 44 now 44 corresponds to { 44) 23.31….26.64 Scorpio } see the above 9 DIVISIONS OF SIGNS . In other words Moon is placed in Scorpio sign in Navmasa Kundali . All the other planets will be placed with the same procedure .

NADI & NADI DOSH

Nadi is one of the important Kootas in matching making for the purpose of marriage in Vedic Astrology . It indicates health compatibility & out of 36 points in marital match making 8 points are given to Nadi . Nadi has given maximum points and hence regarded as the most important factor by astrologers. The Nadi disagreement between two is called as Nadi Dosha and generally regarded as the strict no for the marriage.

There are three different Nadis Adi / Adhya / Aadh (start), Madhya (middle) and Antya (end) and they represent "Prakriti" of an individual that is his/her body constitution. As per Ayurveda there are three different Prakritis- Vaat , Pita & Kapah The Nadi Adi, Madhya and Antya Nadi are equivalent to Vaat , Pita & Kapah respectively . The exact Nakshatra based classification is as follows

1) ADI / Adhya / Aadh Nadi : People born in Ashwani , Ardhra , Punarvasu , Uttaraphalguni , Hasta , Jyeshta , Moola , Satabisha & Poorvabhadrapada have Adi Nadi .

2) Madhya Nadi : People born in Bharani , Mrigasira , Pushya , Poorvaphalguni , Chitra , Anuradha , Poorvashadha , Dhanshita &

3) Antya Nadi : People born in Kritika , Rohini , Aslesha , Magha , Swati , Vishakha , Uttarashadha , Sravana & Revati Nakshtras have Antya Nadi .

Nadi Dosha exists if proposed husband and wife are having same Nadi. Scientifically speaking having same Prakriti means their offspring will be physically weaker. If Nadis of proposed husband and wife are different it is only then marriage is recommended so they may have physically stronger children. However it is not accurate to reject a proposal for marriage just because the girl & boy have same Nadi as in the Shastras its mentioned that if Nadis are same then also some other things are to be watched and then the result should be predicted. Below are some points to be checked .

1) The Rashi of male & female are same but the Nakshatra are different, then no Nadi dosha.

2) The Nakshatra are same and the Rashis are different, then no Nadi dosha.

REMEDIES FOR NADI DOSHA :

If the nadi dosha is present and it is very necessary to get married to the same person , in this situation one can get the Mahamrityunjaya mantra japa done and give the Brahmin a swarna-nadi, grains, cloth and cow. After this the marriage can be done even if Nadi Dosha is present.

Birth Yogas or Dina Yogas or Nitya Yogas or Surya Siddhant Yogas are 27 Yogas which are based upon the angle ° distance between the Sun and the Moon in the Lagan Chart ( Lagan Kundali ) .If we take 360° and divide by 27 = 13°20' ( some write 13.33°). So for each 13.33° a Yoga is formed. When you were born, your birth took place in one of these Yogas . It is the combination of the Sun + Moon . The Nitya Yogas help Astrologers in predicting general behavior , temperament & other characteristics of the individual .Out of the 27 Nitya Yogas 9 Yogas are considered inauspicious ( unfavorable ) .

METHODS FOR CALCULATING THE BIRTH YOGA OR NITYA YOGA :

1) (Sun's Longitude + Moon's Longitude) divided by 13°20'
The resulting quotient tells you about the Yoga in which your birth took place.

2) Sun's Longitude + Moon's Longitude

Check the resulting value with the List of Birth Yogas given below

PROCEDURE OF CALCULATING THE LONGITUDE OF SUN OR MOON

The Longitude of Sun or Moon can be calculated for the purpose of determining Birth Yoga by using my formula .....

1) Longitude of Sun / Moon in Specific Sign + ( 30 X N0-of signs before the sign in which Sun /Moon is placed ).

TO GET BETTER UNDERSTANDING , PLEASE GO THROUGH THE BELOW EXAMPLE

As you can see in the above Lagan Kundali , the longitude of Sun is 29 * & it is in Aries Sign ie. First Sign . Similarly the longitude of Moon is 24 * & it is in Leo Sign ie Fifth Sign . Now by using the above mentioned formula we will calculate the Longitude of Sun & Moon for determining Birth Yoga

Longitude of Sun / Moon in Specific Sign + ( 30 X N0-of signs before the sign in which Sun or Moon is placed )

LONGITUDE OF SUN USING THE ABOVE FORMULA :

29 + 30 x 0 ( The longitude of Sun is 29 * & it in Aries Sign . Since Aries in First Sign there are no signs before Aries ) .

Therefore Longitude of Sun in this case is 29 * ........................................

LONGITUDE OF MOON USING THE ABOVE FORMULA :

24 + 30 x 4 ( The Longitude of Moon is 24 * & it is in Leo Sign . Since Leo is the Fifth Sign there are 4 signs before Leo ) .

Therefore Longitude of Moon in this case is 144*.......................................

The Sun God has two arms, he is seated on the pedestal of lotus; both of his hands are embellished with lotus flowers. The lord favours her and she leaves a coral in the ocean as a token of their togetherness. Kuja is said to have born out of that coral. Etymologically, ‘KU’ means earth and ‘JA’ refers to birth. Hence he is referred to as the son of the earth or in other words Bhauma.

Padma Puraana gives a slightly different version of Kuja’s origin. Once a bead of perspiration from Lord Vishnu’s brow falls on the earth and from that energy a red colored person, who is also known as Lohitaanga takes birth. He wins over Lord Brahma with his rigorous penance and secures a position in the planets. He is none other than Kuja.

Shiva Puraana tracks down his origin to Lord Shiva. Sati Devi, daughter of Dakshaprajaapathi, immolates herself in the Yogic fire, as a sequel to her separation from the lord. Manglik dosha means a Dosha or a defect caused by the effect of planet Mars. Manglik Dosha also called as Sumanglik dosh & Kuja dosh . A comparative analysis of the Birth Chart ( Lagan Kundali ) , the Moon Chart ( Chandra Kundali ) & the Navamsha is done to conclude whether a person is Manglik or not. Manglik dosh or mangal dosha is much talked about topic in Indian society and manglik dosha analysis is the integral part of the horoscope matching process before marriage. In the horoscope matching process if all other attributes matches but there is a mismatch in the manglik status of the prospective bride and groom, the marriage between them will be considered inappropriate.

Mangalik Dosha is formed when Mars is placed in the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th, 12th house from the ascendant (lagna) in lagna horoscope, from the moon sign in Chandra horoscope or navmansha horoscope.
